Default Dyno results for bolt on only LT1

Hey guys. i just had my car tuned by Byran from PCMforLess yersterday. The car is totally stock internally but has every single other bolt on. Before his tuning with the hypertwech it made 295 rwhp and 323 rwt. After his tuning it put down 311 rwhp and 344 rwt. I then opened the cutout and surprisingly it didnt gain any horsepower but gained 3rwt. All in all I was pleased. I picked up 16rwhp and 20rwt. The car does feel faster and now I can go for the record for totally stock internal LT1 w/6spd. I belive it is 12.48. Everyone wish me luck. November 11th will be the day.

Yup see you on the 11th Joel. Its gonna be fun. My bolt ons are pretty much everything you can do to an LT1 without touching the engine at all. Valve covers have never been off. I did all the free mods as weel. It has a Moser 12 bolt with 4.10's which is also taking some power away along with 17" ss wheels.
List of mods that affect horsepower are
K&N fipk
Holley 52mm TB
bbk underdrive pully
Accell 300+ ignition and wires
NGK TR55 plugs
PCMFORLESS tuning
Hooker long tubes
Mufflex OFY
Flowmaster catback w/cutout
LPE aluminum driveshaft
LT4 knock module
TB bypass
Redline 5w30 oil
meziere ewp
Thunder maf ends
1le intake elbow
I think thats about it...If i remember anything else i'll add it.

Nice #s. However, I doubt the best stock internal LT1 is 12.48 because the stock internal LS1 record is like low/mid 11s or something crazy. But good luck anyway.

I believe Steven Stumpf from Thunder is the only bolton LT1 to hit 11's naturally aspirated. I believe the time was 11.94.

Steven(Sar2k) does own the record for stock heads and cam Lt1 but he did have aftermarket rockers and springs. I do not consider that Totally stock internal. Also his is an auto. I'm chasing the 6spd record with totally stock internals(including springs and rockers). The only other bolt on 6spd LT1 i've seen or heard about that ran faster then a 12.48 was the guy who won the GMHTP Lt1 bolt on shootout but his car aslo had springs and rockers. His time was a 12.34@109.97. If ANYONE knows of a faster bolt on only 6SPD LT1 W/ FACTORY ROCKERS, SPRINGS ETC, please let me know. But as far as I know its a 12.48@110. I hope to be running 12.3's or better on Nov 11th....only time will tell. I also hope my origional! clutch holds up.

Good luck, man! I see those times in your sig., that's impressive! What is your raceweight if you don't mind me asking? After you reach your goal will you tear into the engine or just stay with stock internals?

Race weight -i'm not sure of. It is a EVERY single option 95 Camaro Z28 6 spd. i'm guessing it weighs 3450? stock. It has a moser rear, and heavy duty suspension and subframe connectors that add weight. the only mod I have that made it lighter is the fiberglass cowl hood. I race it without a spare/jack and with about 1/4 tank of gas. On the 11th I will be running it without any seats except the drivers of course.
If I get the record I'm not sure what I want to do yet. My dad bought it new off the lot and I got it from him about 2 years ago. It only has 59,000 miles on the entire car. Its had pure synthetic oil in it ever since it was new. Still has the origional clutch too. I origionally thought about doing heads and cam and making it a low 11 maybe high 10 second NA beast. But I like how smooth the car is now. It idles and drives like stock only way faster. Then i thought of procharging it. Which would be alot of fun. The only thing i'd have to do would be change the 4.10 gears to 3.73's. I'm also considering twin or single turbo. The only thing keeping me from doing that is that I just spent over a grand on the long tube/ory.
Well after I get the record and think about it somemore i'll see where I want to go. Maybe I'll just keep it the way it is and get a Z06 too

I thougght about chasing that record too, after my stone stock car went 105.5 mph a half dozen times... Then I reconsidered when the motor took a poop. 400 passes wil put a hurtin on em

Good Luck, nice numbers too. FWIW my dad's 93 vette is making 295/323 with similiar bolt ons less LTs, electric water pump, but add shorties, corsa, and 1.6 RRs.

exactly what i was thinking... My bolt on only lt1 without a gear or 12 bolt went 12.41 on nitto drag radials, and still only pulled 1.9 60ft times. I dont see how you are close to any record..

I would like to say that I have some friends that run 10.70s on stock internals and they drive them around all day long.

It didnt go 10.70 in a 6 speed with no power adder or without having the valve covers removed

The same way many internet records are set. There may be faster guys out there with h/c LT1s, cam only LS1s etc....who don't post on these boards.

Even though this is a 6 speed, I'd say SAR2Ks bolt-on record should be the number to shoot for as it seems there are some discrepancies as to who is the quickest bolt-on 6 speed.

BTW, what did you trap on your 12.41 pass? 112 or so I presume?
