Default First time to the Dyno with our cam only cars

I put down 369 hp / 347 tq. My husband did 412 hp / 379 tq (he has headers, I don't) How did we do? What do you think about the curve in my husbands runs?

holy sh*t, thats an awesome curve for your husbands car.
can we get some more info on the cam?

its over 400hp at 5800 rpms, i dont think ive seen another cam only car with that much power at such low rpms. and it doesnt have as big of a dip in the tq curve at 4700rpms that a lot of the big cams have.

That's what I thought, I'm not an expert on cams, but I have looked at a few dyno charts and I didn't think I had seen any with a curve like his.

It is a Comp Cams custom grid (Seth, formally of Combination Motor Sports I believe is the one that designed it) It is the aggressive lope design. 245/249,559/559,lll lsa. I can also tell you it has NOT been easy to tune for!

Did you two run those over 7000rpm on the rollers . It looks like they are peaking around 6500. Can you clarify that?

NL peaked at 6500rpm, Mine peaked at 6600rpms, but the power stays up there untill close to 7000, NL's is 7000, mine is 6900. For the best power I would shift at 6900, NL at 7000. But as you know we both have stock bottom end....so we will shift closer to 6750. We just did the 7000 for the dyno.

I'm always ready to go to the track! Not sure if we will get NL on the track yet or not though. He has Nitos, but could really use Sly's ETs. If would be interesting to see what he will run!
