TSP225 and MTI Stg2e dyno results
I finally was able to get the car on the dyno today. I dynoed 427 HP and 391Tq on the dynojet.
I installed MTI stage2e heads with the TSP 225/589/112 cam as well as a set of Jet Hot headers into my 2000 FRC Corvette just before Xmas. The car also has a blackwing intake with the Magnaflow Xpipe exhaust. The heads are 5.7 with 10.1 compression.
The car appears to run lean at first but I am almost positive I have a small exhaust leak where the collector bolts together with the pipes replacing the cats. Anyway, the link below is where the graph is but it is a **** copy. Maybe I could email somone to post it?
Oh, it also is running a little rich up top as well I will need to lean it out a little. Hope to make a little more power up top after tuning as well as more tq down low with adding more fuel. I logged everything with HP tuners but did not have time to tune today. The only thing I have tuned is for codes and rev limiter.
Almost forgot. The car (on the same dyno in Nov. 04) put down 327HP and 327Tq. with the intake and exhuast (without headers) 11.5 A/F

So you gained 100rwhp after all your mods Derek. Sounds good to me!
Congrats. Those numbers look great. That light car of yours is gonna fly.
Did you dyno at SFP?

Hey Carlos! I dynoed at Cartek up in Davie. The car fells great and pulls very hard. I was at Sebring International Raceway on Sat. and it was nice having all the xtra torque and HP. I hit 135 on the 2 long straights! You should come out in May, I think Zoe and I will do the Sebvring event then. Check Chinmotorsports.com for pics.

Did you add the LS6 intake, or do you have the LS1 intake? A ported TB and underdrive pulley will net you some nice gains too. I ran the PRC225 cam for a while (same as the TSP225) and made some GREAT power with it. That is my favorite small cam of all time.

Sorry, I forgot that I did add the LS6 intake but still have stock throttle body and stock pulley. I am about to have to replace my A/C compreesor soon so maybe I will go ahead and get a pulley.
I did a search before buying this cam and saw your #'s Gomer, helped me decide as I was looking for a good setup without loosing any Tq. I think I achieved my goals and still have room to improve!

I agree, there is more left in the combo. With just the additions of the TB and pulley, you'll be over 400rwtq and 435rwhp.. there will probably be even more to gain thru tuning, those are good numbers thru the mufflers out of 5.7 heads.

I have that same cam in my 98' and it made 383/374 with stock 98' heads. I was planning on using AFR 205's milled to 59cc's though for 11:1. How will these heads stack up against the MTI heads? I would be happy with 430/405. Do Vett's put more to the ground than F-bods?

Thanks for the replies. I fixed the exhaust leak that was apparantly there during the 1st dyno pull. I thought I noticed a ticking when I had the car at Sebring. I am happy with it so far and have been tuning it on a dyno. Corrected lean condition between 2k and 4500 but still having trouble leaning it out from 11.9 to 12.2 AFR up top. I want to be at least 12.7 or so up top. 0 KR and LTFT's are at 0 WOT. still tuning cruise though. As for track times, my clutch is on the way out and I had it at the 1/4 track once with a best MPH of 118.8 and consistant 118's. I am still learning to drive this thing so I am not too worried with ET's but should break into the 11's easy after the clutch install and better 60's. I saw the Z06's out there running in the 114's for MPH. It is great from a roll!
