Well remember you are comparing a SBC to LS1/LS6s. So its not apples to apples.

Those numbers aren't THAT different from the ones on the board. How many solid roller 260 degree cam sheetmetal intake 1 7/8 header'ed (rev'ed to the sky I would think) ls1's are here? Even if that is RWHP, I would imagine little/no drivetrain loss since there is no driveshaft in that vehicle...

The secret to that motor is the heads. Those 18 degree race heads will flow 350 CFM or so on the intake. Also, that cam is BIG. It wouldn't be streetable even by the standards of most of the lunatics on this board

I'd also have to say that American Speed typically reports very high dyno numbers - about 5% or more up from the other dyno numbers you see on comparable builds. I seem to recall that American Speed uses a "pull-down" dyno technique which starts at high RPM and loads the engine down from there, which might account for their higher numbers.

More than likely those ratings are at the flywheel which through a manaul would put it's rwhp between 547 to 567. I have full confidence that a 377ci LS1 based engine could put down those numbers fairly easily if built right, also I can guarantee that it will be much more streetable than the engine mentioned above.
