Default 2000 TransAm A4 Bolt-On 352RWHP / 357RWT

Hey All,

Just had a 2000 TA WS6 auto car here get tuned. The customer installed Kook's LT's with cats, GMMG exhaust, LS6 intake with EGR, Lid with K&N, stock TB, stock MAF, stock trans, stock converter, stock crank pulley, stock thermostat, stock 3.23's.

With 28* timing and 13.0-1 A/F across the board we hit 352RWHP and 356RWT SAE corrected. Usually I see these stock internal numbers on bolt-on 2001-2002 M6 cars. Just wondering if anyone else has seen numbers this good on an A4 car. Very impressed on this end. The weather was nice today and the correction factor was .97, so the uncorrected numbers were 362RWHP and 366RWT. I would have liked to see this car bone stock originally. Just wanted to pass some info along.

Yeah, those are some of the highest ive seen myself. I only made 370 what you see in my sig, so you are doing quite well.

99k and time for a rebuild

I made 343rwhp 1998 A4 with 90k on the car.....LS1 intake...Pacesetter headers...Trueduals...Ported TB and UD pulley....Im guess I will be up into the 350s with a LS6 intake and a tune.

Im surprised the numbers were so high with stock TB and pulley.

Great #'s, I thought your dyno was known for being "stingy"? Oh well, gives me hope, I'm very curious to see what kind of #'s my car throws down when I bring it to you next month. I am guessing 330-ish out of my car before you get to tuning it.

Locked or unlocked? How much difference would it make?

Hey All,

Thanks for the kind words for sure. Locked converter numbers and definitely high for not having the little mods along wth the main ones. The difference from locked to unlocked with a stock converter would be in the 10-15RWHP area I believe. I am sure someone else will chime in.

Yeah, my dyno is known as "the humbler" in most cases, so this car is a good one. Definitely not bragging on my tuning skills as I am learning everyday and would not ever claim I could get these numbers from any car, this car just laid it down for sure. Have a good one.

I guess I could expect about the same numbers from my car with the converter locked.
The #'s in my sig. are unlocked, I've seen some impressive numbers being put down lately with A4 cars. Keep up the good work.

My 2000 SS A4 put down 310rwhp with just a lid and cutout.

I'm adding an LS6 Intake, Longtubes, catted Y and Magnaflow....I'm hoping for 340 and maybe a bit higher when it's tuned. He got 350+?!!? Jeez, that's awesome.
