Default Big Stall = Loop on dyno???

Before Headers and Exhaust I dynoed 286/335.......after headers and the true duals I dynoed 295/286. I picked up 9 rwhp and lost 49 rwtq . However, I went from 12.5s to 12.2s and picked up 4 mph. I do have to say that I had never heard of a dyno recording backwards (ie, the loop in my graph) before seeing this graph. I would have to think that this is due to the converter somehow. I do like the fact that I picked up over 125 rwhp on a 100 shot
(Oh, and I have no idea who Simon Tankel is)
Has anyone else seen a loop in their dyno with a Big Stall?

Hmm... Simon Tankel, is that the judge from American Idol... LOL. Nice results, and I've never seen a backwards loop on a dyno sheet either. What tires are you running on the beast?

i've never seen or heard of that before, but i dont have that much experience with dyno sheets, just what people post... but it doesnt seem like the dyno could go back like that to create loops, it looks like something you would post on a supra forum just to make fun...

Normal graph for a stall. If it was locked, then it'd be weird. Have them lock up the stall next time they do a pull and you'll see the correct curve.

The dyno pull was on the stock WS-6 rims, but at the track she wears some M/T ET Street 26x11.5x16

I just realized that the drop in Tq was more than likely due to the point at which the dyno started. Dyno wasn't recording till 5000rpms, I believe that the Tq would have been much higher had the recording been started earlier in the rpm band.

Its from the converter locking up during the dyno run.

I would have them lock the converter and start the dyno at 3700 rpm.
locking the converter w/ give you a TRUE idea of power and where it lays....
a unlocked converter will flash causing a trq spike, thats why they started at 5000
but to get a true idea, lock the converter and start at about 3700
I will show you spec's when i get a chance
