Default CARTEK 4X Heads/Cam hits 507.9-RWHP!!!

Julio called me up, asked me to bring my car in for him to play with, how could you say no to that? CARTEK played around with injector sizing and something seemed to have worked!!

Still my little ole Ported 243 LS6 Heads! AFR Who? Stock bottom end with ARP rod bolts and 62.7K miles on it! Through a Strange 12-Bolt with 4:56 gears!!

Highest dynoing Stock Bottom End Heads/Cam LS1 Much?

Now when I ran 10.56 @ 129 I was at 480RW! Time to wait for a cool night, if we have them left, and hit Atco! I’m going to give her hell!

Once again;

HUGE THANKS TO CARTEK!!!! Julio, Dave, Roy, Mike you guys are the best! I still can’t believe how much this car put down! It’s nutty!! On the way home I hit major traffic on the GSP and the car was perfect in traffic, no hesitation, no dead spots, simply perfect! CARTEK is the best, no doubt! Now I have to pay you guys back with track times!

Thanks to Barry @ QTP!!!! Those 1-3/4" headers are a pretty gold color now!

Thanks to Jonathan @ Tick Motersports NC for setting me up with the true duals!

IM LOVING IT!

Can’t wait to go to the track!

Honestly, you would have to ask Dave @ CARTEK, but its no bigger then any of the other cams puting down big numbers out there, knowing CARTEK, its smaller. They have always gotten big numbers with reletivly smaller cams then others.

I was planning on getting a Cartek cam-something in the 228 range on an Xer lobe. Is yours much bigger than that? I have aftermarket heads but they are just 5.3. Do you know what the flow numbers on your heads are?
I may have to trek up to Cartek to let them do the tuning! Awesome numbers!

Yes my cam is bigger, I saw the flow numbers when my heads were ont he flow bench, but I dont remember them unfortunatly. You are more then welcomed to ask Julio or Dave about it. Im sure they would be more then happy to help.

A 228 Cam would be something along the lines of the 2X

The 3X being a little bigger. A 2X and CARTEK 5.3Ltr heads made 450 in my friends car, and a 3X cam with 5.3's in my car made 450 as well. The 3X cam is more of a track cam, very high strung, the 2X is more of a street cam.

Very impressive #’s
It would be extremely impressive through a 10 bolt with 3.42 gears, but through a 12 bolt and 4.56 absolutely extremely sick #’s!!!!!!!!!!
That would be like 530hp with 10 bolt.

Tell us more about your set-up?
When you dynoed was the exhaust uncapped?
What wheels and tires were on when you dynoed?
Was the intake ported?
What was your race weight when you ran the 10.56?

Your car is awesome!
Good luck, and keep us post on the new track times.
Bob
