Default 4th gear spin?

Just wonderin guys on what u think my car is doing, when i drop my car down to 3rd gear it "barks" the tires, but when i shift to 4th the car winds up but does not drop into gear, (at least i dont think it does). is this a desciption of tire spin, clutch slippege, or my lack of shifting skills haha. please reply with any comment u have bad or good

If you are around 4500rpm in the 4th and drop down to 3rd (which isn't the best on a tranny), it will bark or lock the tires up completly. just my .02

i know but im in 5th or 6th and only taching 2 or maybe 2100, the thing is i dont understand what the car is doing when i shift into gear (4th) the tires dont make any noise (but my tires rarely do). im just scared that my clutch is slipping or maybe im shifting to fast and not giving the tranny enough time to shift.

Here's a great way to see if your clutch is slipping. Get going around 50-55mph and during this time the car should be in 5th gear(Decent amount of load on the drivetrain). Go WOT, dont roll into it, stomp that sucker. If the rpms jump up, even just a little(2-300) and THEN the car gets moving, you will know if the clutch is slipping.

QFT

just a side note though, you shouldnt be bangin the gears down so hard that the tires lock up....rev match the motor to the gear and then put it in gear and let the clutch out. saves wear on your clutch and tranny

And if you get a clutch go with the Spec stage 3 plus. I love mine.
