Default Bolt-on stalled A4 results

Car was dynoed last night for before/after comparisons. With 3400 2.1 STR stall and all bolt-ons minus pulley: 303HP/343TQ. Not nearly as high as I would like but I'm still happy with my track times so far. I'll post the graph after the cam is installed and tuned.

See... I'm an auto and not ashamed of low dyno #'s.

Looks like that about what you should put down through an A4 I would think. Did you get it tuned with all those bolt ons?

What did you put down before the stall? Just curious since I have similar mods to yours, but I have't dynoed the car since I got the exact same stall as yours put in.

Can you post the graph, was it locked/unlocked, SAE? Kinda strange that the tq is so high compared to the hp and I would expect your hp to be higher than that, since you have longtubes and an LS6 intake.

You said it was a before/after comparison? Before/after the stall, or longtubes? What were the before numbers?

As long as the car pulls the numbers at the track I guess it doesn't really matter that the M6 guys are quoting RWHP numbers that the A4 guys can only dream of. I pulled 328.9 after Jeff Creech worked his magic on my car. He tried a lot of things to get it there. I've got a PT4000 converter and I'm not sure if that helped me or hurt me compared to the thread starter. Just like him I'm happy with my track times even though the numbers seem really low compared to what I see posted on here all the time. A4's are definitely not Dyno Queens.

These #'s are before the cam. These are the baseline with all bolt-ons minus pulley. Car is untuned. I will post a before/after graph with all mods now plus, cam, pulley, and tune next week after vacation!

Sounds about right to me untuned. Stalls eat up tons of HP but produce much better times at the track dyno numbers don't mean ****.

I had very similiar numbers with my bolt on stalled a4. Did 310-343 with long tubes, lid, and 3400 converter. With cam was 351-354.

The stall is probably accounting for 10-20rwhp but it makes up for it in performance.

Was that dyno with a locked converter too? I sure as hell hope I pick up more than 10whp from longtubes and an LS6 intake.

I thought locking it pretty much elimintated the big hp loss you see from the stall?

Converter was unlocked. I'm curious to see what the numbers would be with the converter locked.

Also to answer your question on the difference between the hp and tq numbers is the converter flashing. If he posted the graph i'm sure you'd see a sudden jump in tq and it falling gradually through the rpms.

Just for an update: looking at the graph, my TQ jumps right at 3400 to the peak, then it falls off slowly. The car needed tuned BAD! After 228R cam, pulley, and tune I made up some power.

Before: 304/343
After: 371/348

The torque hits 340 @2700 RPMs and holds it 6000 RPMs

Best ET: 12.47
Best MPH: 113.92

Still pulling 2.0 or worse 60' due to crappy Walmart tires.

id say 303rwhp is not bad and its running 12.80s@109mph which is damn good. I ran 12.40s@110mph w/ 335rw or so with skinnies and 275/50 15in BFG DRs.
