2000 Stock z28 m6 dyno questions..
I recently got my 2000 z28 dynoed stock, i did all of the basic maintainance such as new plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter etc. The car is originally from California which makes me wonder if that has anything to do with my numbers being a little low. The car has 59k miles and made 287rwhp and 304rwtq . However air/fuel was way off from 13:1 it was at a steady 11.5:1 across the board. I haven't changed anything other than putting a new stock maf on it. Is there anything different about the california model cars? Someone told me they have 4 cats instead of 2? Anyone think my power will get to at least 300rwhp with a proper 13:1 afr?

That's what people tell me and that was my main reason for having it dynoed because the first dyno i did with an unscreened maf a/f ratio was 14.5:1 and i put a new maf on it and it made it safer. I guess i'll have to make some passes to see whats up. That does give me some hope s346k lol

I'm wondering if a previous owner bought one of those hand held tuners and fucked around with some stuff. Get yourself a real dyno tune and that car will feel like a whole different car.

I've wondered the same thing because even though when i bought the car all it had on it was a k&n air filter it did have the egr thing cut. People told me oh the car's stock they wouldve done more if they had a handheld tuner but you never know. I'm not really worried about the numbers atm as i'm going to be putting mods on it in the future so i'll wait till then to get it tuned.

stock timing is around 28, definitely get a tune so A/F is about 13:1. stock on a dynajet should be around 295 / 310 for an M6, 280 / 295 for a A4. minus 15 for a mustang dyno. a proper tune should add about 15 rwhp over bone stock #s. there are dynos out there that give inflated #s. dynos are just a tool. good luck!
