Dyno low or normal???
Well i drove my car 2 1/2 hours away to get tuned and was a bit disappointed. He couldn't get anymore power over the stock 99 tune. I dyno'd 338hp and 346 torque??? I was expecting more like 350 hp range but was way off...any ideas? Perhaps am i just expecting too much??? Mods are in sig any and all help or ideas appreciated.

Not trying to disipoint you but it looks about right to me, you have headers, LS6 intake, throttle body bypass and a ported throttle body. Bone stock is in the 285 to 310 rwhp with any tune (stock or tuned) and with the those mods thats about what it would give. Congradulations nothing to be dissapointed with.

Is it possible to not gain any power from a tune? I also just drag raced my car and lost 5 mph and the only major mod i added were the headers...could these be causing a power loss and no gain from tuning?

the headers will most likely give you a bit less low-end torque, but the WILL gain HP up top, the 2.5" y pipe isn't helping though...you have huge headers and a small y. That would be the weak link, as far as exhaust. The HP#s seem pretty good though, i would think a tune woulda helped though...just think, even stock cars benefit from a tune...thats why they make Hypertech programers and stuff

Nothing to be dissappointed about, my 2002 SS 6speed dyno'd 339rwhp stock right after my brothers 98 Auto Formula dyno'd 350rwhp! I dont believe these numbers necessarily but it was definately lower than a bolt on car! I was about 65 degrees with zero humidity though!

Don't forget sometimes the dyno's correct down on great air day's.. avg lsx bolt on car 98-02 is anywhere between 325-365rwhp depending on A4/M6 and various intakes' and bolt on's... not all lsx's are created equal.. the 6.0l Ls2's are even worse.. had a bolt on one dyno 352 and a bone stock one do 5 more.. lot's of variables.. especially the condition of the ignition sys, fuel sys, etc...

unless you did a stock baseline run on the same dyno, it's hard to know how much you gained.
For me, before exhaust, I pulled 306HP, after headers, true duals and ported throttle body, I went to 349HP. On the same dyno.

Looks normal to me too.Not gaining anything over the stock tune can be misleading. I find with todays gas quality that all these cars have too much timing from the factory.Every car I've seen has had KR.On the dyno the KR won't be as present due to the lower load of the dyno. Most tunes I knock out 3-5 degree's of timing. The end affect is even though the car dyno'd the same hp,they run consistantly faster at the track.
