Default What type of gains from a fast 90/90 on my setup

Was curious how much it will pickup on my setup! I have a 10.8:1 383, stage 1 livernois heads, with a 228/228 .630" 114 cam, 85mm maf, 2.5 dual and x pipe. I have the intake and I am in the middle of porting it. I do need a tunes too, so I was wondering how much....was running a ls6 intake!

I'm my research on the matter, I've found that anything making over 400rwhp will gain a solid 20 rwhp. Possibly more so a bigger CI motor.

ehh those gains ^^ are pretty good i guess. Im still trying to figure out why those intakes cost so damn much tho? 1300/1400 bucks for a fast 92/92 combo last time i checked. They are badass intakes tho but for the price id expect a lil more hp gains when used in a stock bottom end h/c ls1

I'll I am going to say is this.

In my situation which is stock 02 heads untouched. Compared to a LS6 style intake that was stock. Seemingly my car didnt gain all that much with a Ported 90/90 set up from Vengence.

The car makes around 385-396 (gotta redyno) The cam in the car has been proven to make around 395-405 with or with out the intake swap.

I think the heads are stalled out, and with no bump in compression i am certain i am not getting the FULL benefit of a free flowing intake.

At bear minimum either if the car didnt come with a LS6 intake or its a ported heads/cam combo then its not going to pan out if you beleive in a $ per hp ratio.

I reiterate my statement and say over 400rwhp before FAST = +20rwhp (M6/10bolt) after.

My LS6 CTSV did 402rwhp/387rwtq w/ just bolt ons and unported FAST. CTSVs dyno 330-340 stock.

Not all LSX are created equal. I've seen some freak set ups given the mods and power and ive seen some very modded cars put down garbage power. Just from my personal exp.

I've always read around 20 rwhp and 15rwtq, which is the same thing my tuner says he sees from the fast 90/90 unported compared to an ls6/ported tb.
