Question Just an Estimation

Ive never been able to take my camaro to the track simply because Im only 18 years old and my father technically owns it (even though i payed it full in cash) and refuses to let me take it to the track.
The car makes 405 BHP and is full weight with the few mods are in the sig.

My question is around what time would the quarter mile time be?
thanks

well my dad doesnt care what i do to the car since its my own money but yea refuses to let me bring it to the track and although he would probably never find out i wouldnt want to **** him off since he graciously helps pay for insurance

Would you really track it for me? he never said anything about someone else doing it

How do you know it makes 405 bhp?? Track time depends on so much other than that too though like driver skill and tires ect. im guessing it would be high 12's. what kind of cam?

a stock LS6 makes 405 hp...i wonder if it was really dyno'd or if they just said "hey this thing makes 405 cuz its got all the LS6 stuff in it"

EDIT-the 01 ls6 made 385hp and the 02-04 made 405hp. my bad

So your not going because your dad doesn't want you to? It doesn't matter who's name the car is in otherwise.

I guess why i asked is cause i thought dyno's usually measured rwhp.. don't know too much about dynos or gotten mine on one yet. It will get on one this year though our school has one and they got a thing called dyno days where its super cheap

If you really want to respect your dad's wishes, you could wait a few years until you are no longer under his roof and he isn't putting food on the table for you.

However, you could research and show him all the safety precautions NHRA sanctioned tracks do to make sure racing is safe for both drivers and spectators. It wouldn't hurt to get a properly rated helmet either so you don't get kicked off the track.

Head over to the drag racing section and read through the stickies there:

So you pulled the motor and put it on an engine dyno?
