I'm with you on that one 05MBMLS2. Unfortunantely the Yanks did not make it this year, which puts a huge frown on my face. But I think I would still attain a smile if the Sox don't win it. Go phillies.

funny that a disgruntled yankee fan would give red sox fans **** about how much we're paying certain players. you got an even higher payroll and didnt even make the playoffs...thats gotta hurt. not to mention varitek isnt on this team because hes the greatest hitter in the world. he knows the game, and knows the opposition better than any other catcher in the game. not to mention the leadership he brings. the team had a rough night tonight...but we've been in much worse holes, as you as a yankee fan would know.....see 2004 ALCS, aka most embarrasing playoff collapse in baseball history.

Hey,
Yankees
-26 world series victories
-39 AL pennants
-15 Division titles
Red Sox
-7 world series victories
-12 AL pennants
-6 Division titles
By the way. For sake of comparison Yogi Berra has 10 world series rings
Boston can win for the world series for the next 19 years just to be of equal comparison to the Yankees Always next year boys

Yea your right management was definetly thinking what a great "leader" he was and how he was the only guy who could "catch" wakefields knuckleball.....they gave him that cantract b/c of his great production from the catchers spot..not his so called leadership.Face it the guy is playing ball like a little leaguer and is almost like an automatic out.
And by the way im just being sarcastic about all this...just trying to ruffle a few feathers...I am a yankee fan, I realize we didnt even make the playoffs this year...theres always next year.

as far as varitek, its funny, i dont recall saying anything about why we signed him to a contract. i do remember however, saying why he is on the team, as in why he is in the lineup every night. believe me pal, nobody in new england is happy with the way that he is swinging the bat. yet you dont hear anyone at all saying that he shouldnt be in the lineup. he is too important to this team, and way too important to this pitching staff.
and dont worry, i dont mind you being sarcastic, i am too. besides i never take anything that comes out of a yankees fans mouth seriously

Hey 383, Boston has been a hell of a team the last few years. I'm a die hard Yankees fan myself, but I can admit defeat when it has arose. We lost, yall won. I think it will always be a great rivalry. I love to watch Yankees-Boston games.

At least we did this, At least we did that. Doesn't mean anything. At the end of the year there is 1 winner and 29 losers. I guess you can call me Vin Diesel or something with his infamous 1 inch or a mile speech, but idk. If you don't win it all, you didn't win anything
