Default me vs a zx 14

i took my vette out for a ride today, the weather has sucked for the past week and finally we had a nice day so it was time to enjoy the back roads of ne ct. i was out just relaxing when i saw behind me several very bright halogen lights...no doubt it was a few sport bikes. they stayed behind me as i had a few cars in front...finally i ran up on a stop sign, i let the cars ahead go and waited for 10 seconds or so and i left with a grunt of the gas, they knew what i ment and with in a second or so i had a black zx 14 on my left rear bumper...i nailed the gas in second gear (not the best rpm level it was around 3000 should have been around 4500-5000 but as they say it is what it is)...i pulled him for a second and next thing he came by doing a wheelie about a foot from my left side door...he carried the wheelie for another second or so before he put the tire down....i must say i was outclassed by the zx 14..my car is quick, i have run a 10.77 @ 131.7 my first time out but this bike cleaned my clock.....i have beat 600's and a few liter bikes on the highway but the zx14 kicked my ***..kudos to the rider as i am certain he is telling the story right now on some bike board...

Nice, but those bikes trap 147+ stock, it would take a lot to beat that, you should have been spraying lol Must have been fun though

an honorable defeat. zx14's are serious business....much like the Hayabusas.

yup no shame going down to one, if you ever get a chance ride one or a busa and see how fast they really are

His sig shows he has a turbo Busa, which is definitely silly fast!

I ran a ZX-10R last weekend. I love running bikes, but I won't even bother with a Busa or a ZX-14. If I beat one, the only reason would be because the rider couldn't handle it.

Those bikes are monsters. I like the Busa's and ZK-14's. The arent made to handle as well but I'm finding more and more......where can you push even a 600 super sport bike on a daily basis. I'd gladly give up some turning ability for the straight line performance of a liter+ bike.

I had a very similar experience the other day with a bike off a light. He was behind me and I knew I would get my *** kicked but I punched it first through third anyways. He popped up a wheelie when I punched it and stayed right on me doing the wheelie until I let off. I have no idea what it was except that it looked to have a custom exhaust and was a GSXR of some type. He then got next to me and I punched it in second from about 40mph (good spot) but once he downshifted and hit it he took off like a madman. Don't usually bother trying to run bikes but I hadn't driven the car in a while and this was the first rider I'd come across in a long time that actually knew what he was doing. Sometimes it's fun just to see them take off.

I have ridden the zx12r before and it was very fast. I couldn't imagine what the 1400 would be like. Its time for me to upgrade to a litre bike. who wants to buy a gsxr 600?
