Default Top speed of a 09 Sonata V6 SE

It's my new daily driver after swapping an 03 Ford Explorer V8 XLT 4WD. Just curious if anyone knows? I do know after 140 miles it averaged 31.5 mpg driving normal.

Somehow an amazing 146 mph. Somehow I imagine not feeling very safe over 105 in a Hyundai haha.

How fast did you go again? Looks like you edited your post but JP is saying something about 146 mph.

I doubt the truck would get over 105 or 110 because of the tires. Kind of like the LS1 Z28's had the limiter set lower because of the tires.

My Subaru Legacy with the turbo can do 130+.....the tires are speed rated and I think it comes down to that. I tried pinning my sisters Chevy Equinox and it shut off really really early.

It's only going to be my new beater. I read Car and Driver this morning and it says 15.3@94 and drag limited to 146 mph. Better straight line performance than I figured. It would suprise some of the older sport cars, lol.

146+ sounds right. Its impressive I pulled one to about 143mph+ on the speedo and it was still pulling. Especially when stock fox body mustangs topped out around 140ish. The brakes dont like 140mph braking though lol.

I'm surprised they don't have a governor if it's capable of those speeds. I found the governor in my Escort once - 105 mph
