Default To Good to Be True?? GTO 4 sale

I'm always looking for GTOs to buy. Hope of owning one 1 day. Anyway I came across the below which seemed too good to be true. Seems priced wayyyyyy too low. I'm calling BS on this one.

Yup. For that price, that's some kind of scam. It would be listed higher than that even if it were a salvage title vehicle.

definitely a scam. the owner will say he cant show you the vehicle because he is doing business in other states or some ****, but will ship it to you once you pay.

Those pics don't look like they were taken in Queens...

It doesn't hurt to ask though.

This guy hit it out of the park. WOW.

The 2005 PONTIAC GTO SUPERCHARGED is still available for the price listed ($9950). No trades at this time!!!
My name is David Hoffman and I thank you for the interest in my car. Before we go any further I must inform you of my present situation. Tomorrow I’ll be flying to Yellowknife, Canada, as I just got a great job at Nuna Logistics, the company in charge with the ice road to the diamond mines in north. That is also the reason for selling. The only way we can complete this deal is online. I already left the car within the custody of a shipping company which will handle the delivery. I can proof that as soon as I’ll get an online tracking number from them.
And as a safety way to do this, I suggest we use eBay. I will list my car on their website with a buy it now offer for you. You may then purchase it and take advantage of their vehicle purchase protection program which will assure you that you’ll get what you’ll pay for. Rest assure that my car is in perfect working condition with outstanding autocheck score. If you are really interested in it let me know and we will find a way to finish this asap.

Thanks for understanding.
David Hoffman
The Ice Road? I've seen that on TV!!! Wowsers!!!

The email was from "John Franson"

Oh well, it was worth a shot. Good luck with your search.

He's an ice road trucker just like the show

I wonder who's car that really is. He's probably a member on the gto forum and doesn't even know his car's for fake sale...sad but funny at the same time.

Default Scammers

Ask for the VIN to pull a carfax. These guys will run the other way when they get that request. Tough to supply the VIN on a car that doesn't exist.

I was gonna say, it's a pretty distinctive car, bet if you posted this on a GTO forum someone would recognize it.
