Default Its official, I have a NHRA License

Well took me about 3 months but i have a NHRA Competition Driver's License

Over the past month i changed to a solid roller set up because i was tired of the valve float i was getting.
So after swapping everything over and losing a little blood in the process it was all done.
Went to Cartek to get it tuned on tuesday. With out fail another gremlin. No fuel at 7000 rpm. Running out of fuel. I did have some luck Julio had a Boost A Pump there and put in for me and came back on wednesday. Couple of small headaches later i was on the way to the track.

Unloaded the car and i forgot my helmet and gloves. Borrowed a helmet and used some mechanix gloves and made my first pass.

First pass NA
60ft 1.37 slight bog
1/8 6.280
mph 109.65
1/4 9.86
mph-136.69

The air quality was no good but it was my best pass ever. Even faster than a black trans am with a 454 LSX NA.

So i open up the bottle for the next pass and drop the tire pressure 1 psi .

The car hooks and i saw the sky. The nose went up then to the left.

I know your not supposed to lift but **** that. Wall was come over quick. I let off and the nose crashes down. I said screw it im going for my lisence. I bang second and continue on.

60ft 1.488
1/8 6.404
mph 117.3
1/4 9.726
mph-148.64

it was the sloppiest pass ever but i dont care. Im legal to run now. Caint wait till i crack the 150mph mark and they yell at me for no chute.

Saturday is our EFI race and i might even have a chance going past the second round. Now that would be nice

Nothings hurt... Headers were a bit roughed up and the SYA bars were a bit bent.(They did their job). Dbag didn't break yet another oil pan.

Congratulations Barry on getting your license. Time to move forward...

Wish I coulda been there to see. You'll have to adjust that Spohn bar to get her to go straight, you have any video of the launch so we could see where you need the adjustment?

Dude, we were talking about that just a couple of hours earlier, how we didn't think you'd have nearly enough to run 9s NA in that horrible air....then you go 9.8?!
That car is going to do some nasty things on the spray (and NA as well come fall/winter).

Congrats man.

Nice work, now just don't ever let it expire, too much of a hassle to have to do all that again

MPH looks good for about 9.2 too once the car's happy!
