Default What are LS1/T56 combo's going for these days?

I have a 2004 LS1/T56 out of a GTO with 15K miles on it. Not going to use it and I'm selling my '66 GTO. Just not sure what these things are going for these days. Thanks.

my ls2/t56 combo just went for 5k. I'd say if you can get 4k you are doing well. How much you selling the 66 for???

Shouldn't that be a M12 trans and not a T56? It should in all GTO's and those IMO are worth more, certainly in Fbody swaps due to the better ratios.

Yours had 70 or 80K on it right? Mine has 15K on it. I was thinking $4500

I'm selling the '66 for $3K. Basically a no rust car but needs restoration and assembly. Most major parts are there save for engine and tranny. Comes with a parts car as well.

I was going to go pro touring with it but life is getting in the way so it is what it is. I think I put an ad in the classifieds for it.

I call all 6spd's T56's no matter what they came in. I know the G8/Camaro and corvette tranny's are different and are the TR6060? It's the factory engine/trans out of a 2004 GTO.

I hear yea, just saying as that transmission is considered a popular swap for those who want a gearing advantage. Maybe more $$$

4500 would be a good start, especially with the low miles. The problem is not many people have cash to part with right now, I ended up shipping mine to Texas after getting a ton of lowball offers up here.
