Anyone in the tri-state a wiz with C6 Stereo/wiring or car stereo look inside
Well I purchased my car from with the stereo not being a concern. It has an Eclipse DVD head unit that doesn't work. Also the fuel and trip button don't work on driver info center and HUD display doesn't work on the car. These concern me. I was curious and pulled the head unit and found the pic below. Anyone that is a guru want to help out with this or point me in the write direction via a mock up or anything? I will gladly compensate you I'm really disgusted by whoever would half *** this!

I know with the CTS-V's the stock radio unit controls all the Driver Information Center stuff. I would assume it is the same with the corvette. That sucks looks like someone massacred it.

Wow... that is a mess.
I don't know how anyone could do such a butcher job.
There are interface modules and kits that make 99% of the aftermarket radios a plug-n-play installation. There is no reason to hack into the factory harness at all.
I did the install on my Kenwood nav unit and it was a piece of cake.
I even hid the GPS and satellite antennas under the center dash speaker grille. It looks totally stock and is super clean.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Yes the car originally had the non DVD stereo in it when I first seen it. All they would of had to do is plug and play the harness. I'm guessing that is the problem for my driver info center. In at least 5 of the F-bodies and 1 of the C5's I have owned I have done the stereo but I hated every minute of it and I'm new to C6 and don't want to mess with stereo's any longer lol. Chevrunner I'll pm you
