Got 1st at Seekonk Speedway!
I just fulfilled my biggest lifetime goals yesterday. I took first place in the spectator drags at seekonk speedway. I beat Mark Dinardo in the final round. He's a hell of a driver I'll tell you. I just stayed calm and hoped he would make a mistake and push outside so I could get inside since I have a power advantage over him with my current setup. He is as good as it gets for being able to block the car behind him. Once he pushed a little outside, I floored it and took the inside and raced around the last two corners, stayed focused and then crossed the finish line first.
I've been a fan of the spectator drags for a while and am a huge fan of Alan C who used to drive the Red 2nd gen z28 and win countless times. Once I saw him win the first time watching back in like 98, I told myself "I want to do that someday". So I bought a LS1 and I did it!
Thanks a huge bunch to Slowhawk for setting me up with a 1st place winning setup and tune! Couldn't have done it without your work. I felt really confident last year with the nittos and suspension setup, and I needed a few horses. Well Don hooked me up with a few horses . And I did all this on a block that has a bad rod knock or wrist pin or whatever is wrong inside of it. Thanks Don
Thanks to Sam Strano for giving great suspension recommendations. For any road racing setup, he's definitely the guy to go to for advice. My car is very predictable and controllable, and I'm still using the stock 4th gen springs! He knows how to set up a winning car.
Thanks to the BMWCCA for letting me learn how to race with them and to the instructors (Steve Hazard, Mike Stukalin, Keith Casey) for helping me become fast under a small tight course. This is the best club to run with for autoxing.
Thanks to Mark Dinardo who's given me a lot of pointers and tips to winning at seekonk. He could have kept his ways of winning secret to himself, but he's a great guy and helped me over the years develop my own tactics. He's a hell of a driver. Hope to race against him again in upcoming events.

Congratulations on your win .... wish I could have gone but I usually go to the 4th of July one. Is the next one on the 4th or is there an earlier one? Anyways...congrats again on your killer win, I know you've been at it for awhile.

Mark crashed it, not on the speedway. He has another one he's building. The Mark 3 is temporary. Seemed pretty fast enough though. I probably have more power, but he has the gears to beat me off the line. He did really well blocking me.
I'm interested in seeing how well the z06 does. I bet it would kick some ***.

Are you kidding, its the first thing all my cousins request to see when they come over the house. Its like a ritual
I still can't stop laughing at how stupid he was.
You have to remember he tied the red mustang so they did the rematch and my brother had the car in 3rd gear so when he let the clutch out he stalled and the Mustang was gone, their was no chance in hell of him catching him, yet he went WOT around the track like he was gonna catch him
I can't stop laughing
If I could only post that video it would be the funniest thing ever online
