Thumbs up Finnaly got to the track!!!! 3 passes down!!!

well, i got a brake in the weather finally!
got to the track and it was nice, and weather was looking good!
pulled the car off the trailer, no change to the suspention from last year, and a 10th of delay in the box.
everything went good, stage up, 1.35 60', 5.90 in the 1/8 @ 117+, just befor the 1000', throtle cable poped off and i had to shut the car down! but still went 9.41 @ 126

go to the trailer, fix it, go for my next pass, launch it, and it felt like crap, let out, got back in, let out, got back in again, shut the spray off, and it felt the same, so i knew no spray so i went on motor. probably lost 1/2 a second messing with the on and off thing, but went 11.1 @ 122, get to the trailer, and stupid me put the cable back in the wrong spot. i had my old man check it for wot, but my gas peddle didnt go to the floor so it wouldnt hit the wot switch easy fix.

last pass, didnt change anything, exept pulled the delay out. everything good, go up, nice wheels up launch, 1.30 60' 5.9 @ 116 1/8, and a 9.35 @ 144 then my hood blew off!!!!!!! scared theshit out of me, but i was happy with the results anyway!!
new bests, and first time out with the new setup.

keep in mind, i was on 1 stage and only 225-250 worth of spray

2nd stage, 150 more spray, and a little suspention tweeking and we should be good to go. oh yhea, the car was still nice and fat, so a little fuel tuning will be needed.
real happy with the results of the shake down runs!!!

Thanks a million to ken and East Side for helping me build anotherstout set up!!!!

and |ND for a nice N2O set up!

Awsome runs..... Wish I had dragged my *** over there last night, but I was sick as hell and would have been pissed if I woke up to rain. Awsome times, can't wait to see it run. That thing is going to fly on both stages! Congrats man the hard work is paying off!

i knew that hood was going to be the problem. I seriously think its the ram air part of it. Just letting to much air underneath the hood and it has no where to go. So instead of getting directed right in to the air box like the suncoast hood the air just lifts up on that hood. If you decide to keep it we're blocking off the back of the scoops and they will be just for show

Thats pretty crazy tho. Last year you broke the hood pins in half. This year you ripped it right off. Now im glad u didnt get it painted!!!

congrats brad, nice runs. definitly not bad at all for the first time out on 1 stage. sux about the hood tho. ive been debating how i want to secure my hood, i was going to do the same thing as you, but ****, now i dunno, lol. as said tho, i think the ram air is probably the problem, too much air pushing up on it. either way, cant wait to see it run in person.
