Default Well I found out yesterday..

That my drivers seat got really messed up in the crash. And after inspecting it, I dont ever want another stock seat in there. Im a good sized dude, but not even huge by any means, 6'1"-215. I mangled that seat.

Looking at potentially these seats in black or if someone else could point me towards another aftermarket seat which would be comfy as a DD.
I picked out those in particular because I wanted to buy GTO seats, but theyre a bit pricey at 1g/set+shipping. Id probably be willing to spend in the ballpark of 500$ MAX, I know thats not going to buy me much. Maybe if I just get the drivers seat. My passenger's seat is fine.

I will probably also be getting a 6 or 8 point installed in the car, and will probably just get harnesses. I dont like those stock seatbelts. I have marks on my chest (the nurses said it didnt look like usual marks) and the fact that most of whats holding me from hitting the steering wheel is that little tab on the top corner of the seat also bothers me.

I dunno how soon you are looking to buy anything... but I shoudl have my car back at my house probably a week from this saturday... if you want to see how the seats I put in my car feel stop by. If you are gonna do a rollbar, I'll get you in touch with the guy that did mine.

Mounting a racing type seat to the rollbar and floor is a much more solid thing, but I warn you that removing the stock seatbelts will get you a ticket eventually, the 5 pt harness isn't legal. It's the only reason I left my stock seatbelts in with the harness.. this way it's one less thing po-po can complain about.

You'd want to have some brackets made to raise the seat up more then where mine are I think.. they are a little low, but then again you might be tall enough not ot need it.

If you want to take a look, let me know. The seats I bought were only 125 I piece I think, and the covers were 40 a piece too. Alot cheaper, and way more comfortable then you'd think.

Im looking for comfort, but most importantly, they must not be able to break/bend/mess up like my stocker did. Ill post pics of the carnage tomorrow, most likely.

I don't think what I have in my car could ever move.. and they are very comfortable for a race seat. I don't think I would want to do a 12 hour drive in them, but an hour or 2 at a time, not a problem.
