Default Kerminator Updated Picture Thread - 5/16

Motor is in, we are working on the fuel system right now. I have been attacking this pretty much alone as to not take working time from the shop and our customers. I hope to have the trans in tonight and the fuel system done. We will see what we can progress on tomorrow and see some dyno #'s soon.

looking good.
only issue is that converter. i cant believe you guys run a vig.
take that piece out and get a good converter, hell that car would run 2-3 tenths faster easy.
those vig are great for low HP street cars, but the worst race converter they are about as good as the jegs special. aka tci
have huges custom make you a new 9.6 for your setup. id say after one fix that car will run faster no problem.

Noyzee: I've been using Vig's for years have had no problems ever with them. We'll see how the car reacts but I was thinking of pulling it for a restall anyways because I think the 5600 is going to be too much for this motor. The old motor it worked nice because the 346 didnt have the torque curve... Im thinking a restall to around 4600-4800. The tires/suspension can't handle a full out tbrake launch anyways so mine as well move the verter down and leave off full throttle.

I will consider the Hughes though, I love their trans not one hiccup on this probably 80 dyno passes and 100+ track passes, trans fluid looks as red as the day we put it in.

Few more things before the car came off the lift, time to finish breaking down a TT z06.

Exhaust is not optimal for this setup, neither are my old afr 225's or my fast intake. RIght now we will barely be above 11:1 c/r. Once I get my ETP LS7's on there I should be able to go around 14:1 and I think I'm going to try the ls7 intake for this motor. LIke I said you will see this motor for sale in November after race season then it's time for the tall deck lsx, solid roller, sheetmetal intake

the vig are nice, but they are not made to work 100% with race setups. they have a basic xxxx stall and thats that. a good huges, neal chance ect race converter has a stall, flash, and top end adjustment. not only that they work much more effeciantly.

im telling you it may not work the first time, but if your driver knows converters you tell huges what your setup is, they get it close, then you drive the car or have someone drive the car that knows converters see how it is.
say the stall is great, but its to tight up top and wont alow the car to rev right ect. you send it back to huges, and they will adjust whatever it is you need.
like my converter i sent it back knowing id be running more motor less spray so i had them loosen the stall to about 4,000-4200 which is only about 200 rph loose, but i had them kick 800 rpm of the top because i know it was to tight.
i will try it, see how it is and send it back if need be.
i sent mine out 2nd day air, they had it done and back on the ups truck within 24 hours!!!
its easy go faster mods once its setup right

but if your driver knows converters
I know a few things here and there.. I'm driving it, why let someone else have the fun?

I will definitely consider the hughes or a neal chance.

when you drive it, just pay close attention to rpm climb and feel it out. if you need help, let me know. just fill me in what the car is doing and i can help. i have done alot with converters since i went automatic.

THanks Brad. We got that z06 toredown so we are working on my POS again. I am short staffed today so we figure mine as well get my car running and out of the way. We're doing the feed lines now and the return. Past that we have verter bolts, some body grounds, coolant, and oil.

Thanks George.. Ya I have not made this 100% legal yet. I'm having my buddy do the bulkhead just handed off the aluminum and he's doing it on the lathe. Here are a few more pics:
