I tow my car with a regular LS version. The straight 6 has no problem towing my car and open trailer.I don't think the wheel base of the truck could handle the weight of a enclosed trailer .

tow rating on the 2wd is 6800, 6600 for awd. Have yet to tow with mine but it depends on what you are towing. Any live animal ie horse I would be wary of only because of short wheelbase and the movement of the animal in the trailer. For something like an open car trailer and car under 6k lbs I am sure you would be fine. For haha's I hooked my enclosed 24' enclosed fully loaded 4500 lbs and it did not look very happy. But than again when the ball hitch on the trailer was around 2-4 inches lower than the trailer I wouldnt suspect it would be very happy LOL. The air ride does a decent enough job of trying to keep the whole setup level, however that is what the duramax is for. Just my 2 cents.

my girlfriend has a awd TBSS and tows a horsetrailer thats fits 2 horses. Each horse weighs about 1400 lbs each and the trailer weighs about 2000 lbs I think not to sure. But she says she loves it the 6 liter has no problems pulling it dosent even feel like your towing anything and it holds the road really well and the suspension is deff up to the task sits perfectly level, and with horses the only way your going to feel movement is if they start to kick around or there is a problem with the horse and they are freaking out.

Is yours black? I see a black one just about every morning on Sandwich Rd in Bourne. Followed by a blue silverado SS, sometimes 2. Im usually in a little red cavalier or a black '99 GMC 1500, old body style.
