I run a V1 radar detector, which can't be picked up by a radar detector detector. It definately helps.
BTW, VA recently repealed those crazy traffic fines. The people weren't putting up with it and the politicians took a beating for passing those laws. I read an article in the paper a couple weeks ago where one of them stated that voting for those stiff fines was probably the worst decision he's made while in office. That's not to say you still can't get hammered though. But... you won't be paying $3,500 fines.

Yeah, ya gotta watch out for the cops. I'm a retired Marine, have been all over the place, and I can say with certainty that VA has some of the most watchful cops on the payroll (particularly the Troopers).

Yep, those fines are most definately gone. Those were the most ridiculous fines ever.
You just gotta keep an eye out for those troopers on 95...although there are a whole hell of a lot of unmarked ones. Theres even a camaro trooper up in the northern VA area..

That's probably in the top 5 for the most ignorant post I've ever read! BTW if you have an warrant in VA and get stopped in another state (which you will eventually), it'll show up when they run your personal info.
