Seems to me that you could fix a sticky bushing problem with
graphite and a stronger return spring. What's the deal with
that? Just too tight when new? Or is it really that the blade
binds up (the bushings themselves ought to have no grip)?

well ive driven jacks car when it was at my dealership when he had the f.a.s.t. tb and although i only drove it around the parking lot. it stuck pretty bad. and if i had the 400 almost 500 for a holley id get one asap.
and ive though about getting the f.a.s.t and seeing if i could fix the bearing/sticking problem but dont want to waste 400 on hopes. lol.
ND4SPD _SS- will you let me know if the bluemax has any markings/ product names on it when you get it. i try to keep things clean under the hood.

I had driven the car around for over 2 months and it stuck even worse than at first. Mike Norris messed around with it and he had no better luck with it, either. I thought F.A.S.T. had corrected the issue a couple years back. If they did, it seems to be a problem again. I am the first to give the benefit-of-the-doubt, however, I've read where several folks still have the same problem of their F.A.S.T. TB sticking. I'm real happy with Holley. As soon as it went on ... no sticking ... no binding ... not much else I can derive except I got a fucked up throttle body from F.A.S.T..
