Sweetness! Sucks because NPD sponsored the LA show since we thought there wasn't going to be a Florida date according to the 2008 schedule at the beginning of the year.
I'll be there!

My car is slow, but it is shiny. I don't feel there is any reason you can not have speed at the same time as a nice underhood. I just am too chicken to drive that far and break something. Orlando I can tow. Gainesville would be an expensive tow.

So you've never gone to a race and walked through the pits just to look? What I don't understand is when people put all that pride and time into making their car fast, but have no desire to even wash it, let alone put a coat of wax on it. To me there is no reason why a car can't be fast and look good at the same time.

Building a car with plenty of power and being afraid to race it is like saving a bunch of money and never being able to spend it IMHO. I drove the Nova 3-4 hours each way to races, ripped off mid 11s and drove her home. Stuff breaks I'll admit, so make sure to cover your butt before running it. I'm just a long term racer, and even the slow Formula gets a beating every year and she's still in great running order.
