Priming Sucks, also you have to be carefull on how you route your fuel lines, and you have to run a huge fuel pressure regulator.

Why would you not want to run a mechanical fuel pump on a slightly used street car?

I run a similar setup on my Supra. We run a stock intank pump to prime the fuel system for starting. To get the mandrels, pulleys, belts, etc check out Peterson Fluid Systems http://www.petersonfluidsys.com/

right in the middle of this pic. I run the aeromotive billet one. Initial priming kinda sucks, but after that, it only takes a few seconds of cranking to start (if its been sitting overnight)

Put a one way fitting in it, makes it alot easier. Now aeromotive offers a primer pump setup but I didnt really find it necessary on my Lightning.

Intank pumps should be avoided for high hp applications.

when you make 1000+whp the huge external electric pumps tend to overheat and no real way to fit them in a fuel cell or tank or need special controllers to keep them alive so most go to a belt driven external pump for reliability and all out flow.
