Megasonic BOV vids
Wow, really late but I got a buddy of mine to record some vids. I put this thing on back in July.
Turbosmart Megasonic under behind the air dam with one horn facing the front of the car and one horn facing the back of the car... You could here it no matter where you are around the car.
Did a blast under a bridge (second vid), neither of us could hear anything at all... It's like we went deaf for a moment.

Sounds great to me!
I recently bought two Kompact Turbosmart Supersonics to replace my pretty wimpy sounding APS bosch blow offs. I did vent the Bosch to atmosphere first but they still didn't do it for me.
I have not had a chance to try out my new blow offs and won't be able to till spring but from the way that one sounds would think my two should sound pretty good.
So what do you run for tires on your monster and how do they hook?

You'll be happy with the two Supersonics for sure.
Well, the most boost I pushed in those vids was maybe 10 psi... Holding the tires was pretty easy... Adj panhard, adj torque arm, LCA's, 3.42's held the Nitto's pretty good that night.

What size nittos? My current 275/17s are worn out so that don't help much.
I have heard the turbo xs RFL before. Those things are pretty loud for sure also! Make little old ladies jump right off the sidewalk!
I know blow offs are bit ricer but hey to me its part of the total turbo thing..the turbos spooling up,the blow offs doing their thing. the wastegates dumping..ITS ALL GOOD TO ME ! Damn I am in boost withdrawal with my car put away till spring.
You guys are lucky to live in warm places.

About the warm thing... It's a double-edged sword for sure... Sometimes I wish I was up north... Putting my car away doesn't bother me that much since I already do that down here lol. I don't get to drive it very often.

The non-ricer sounding ones, like the Tial, sounded great for me, but they sound soft...
This one is not a high-pitched ricer BOV, but it's LOUD anyway, in a tough way.
I'm terrorizing 24/7 now...

The Megasonic REALLY makes it louder.
It's a louder sound blowing off 5 psi now than my old Greddy was blowing off 16/17 psi I think.
Look a couple of posts above for a nice APS idea... Twin Supersonics sounds like a fantastic idea.

You have your kit for sale in your sig?
Anyway if you keep it the kompact turbosmart supersonics are direct fit plug and play for the aps kits.
You just need to block off a hole and I found prefect block off at home depot its a table leg protector. The supersonic are vented to atmosphere.
I have a pic wil post it up a bit later or you can search turbosmart site for the kompact series. They are not cheap and you need two of them for the aps kit of course. They are also nice metal and not plastic like the supplied bosche one. The bosche ones were not too bad unrecirced but as said I wanted more.

lol, yeah... That part was awesome! The video does that part NO justice whatsoever... Totally different in person, almost like not hearing anything for a second.
Forced Inductions carry them, the type 3 Megasonic (3rd version) holds any amount of boost, never a spring to swap, simple adjustment depending on your inches of vacuum at idle with no tools, just twist the body casing with your hand... The features go on and on...
And of course, the muscular SOUND.

I don't mind loud... The rest of the car is already pretty damn loud, why not the BOV?
Plus, this thing's NOT ONLY loud, but outclasses many other BOV's in many other aspects as well... These Turbosmart units are no joke.
