POLL: Intake manifold on my setup
This car will see regular weekend track duty, but remain street driven on occasion.
The setup will be as follows:
iron 408 (all forged and studded)
9.5:1 compression
AFR 225's
single t-76 or t-80 @ aprox 10-12 psi
MAX RPM 7000, AND SHIFTED@ 6200-6500 RPM
Cam is still unknown
I know that there are pro's and con's for all of the choices here, but I am looking for what would give me the best performance for my setup for what I will be using the car for. I know the fast 92 flows a lot of air, and is great for the low and midrange. It is also good for the rpm range I would like to be in, but not sure what design is going to give me the best results for my application.
PLEASE COMMENT ON WHY YOU MADE THE CHOICE YOU DID

I like to hear why you voted the way you did, please post a comment up after you vote.
The people that are using the Edelbrock intake on a boosted application, are you having any issues with gaskets?

For your large cube application, the single planes such as the victor and the GMPP carb style intake manifolds work very nicely. The only real downfall to them is that smaller cube aps don't move enough air to keep the velocity up at lower rpms. They get a bad wrap from people who put them on a HCI stock cube car because they're simply too much. You're semi-big inch, and you'll be boosted, and thats where those manifolds really shine. Plus FAST wants entirely too much for a manifold that won't out do the much cheaper single plane.

They both count just as much as with an N/A engine. Remember that air will always want to follow a straight line as path of least resistance. When you have heads with poorly designed runners, steep short turn radii, small intake runners with inefficient design, etc., all the boost in the world won't make up for what an engine that breathes efficiently will do to you on the track.
