magnacharger or procharger for 500rwhp
just wondering what yall might recommend im very new to the forced induction scene just wanting a fast street car hoping to put down like 500rwhp 450rwtq or in that area....i like the magnacharger because it seems to have more of a nice sounding whine as to where the procharger dont....but any opinions would be great thanks

It's all about your personal taste and preference. Either system will get you there fairly easily, but I think the Procharger system may be easier to achieve 500. With a maggie it takes a little more as far as heads, cam and fuel system than a procharger. Procharger has more options as to what fits and sizes, maggie right now only has the MP112 available for F-bodies, 122 kits are in the works, and TVS kits haven't surfaced for F-bods yet.

If I wanted to stop at 500hp I would go with the maggie. The reason for this is the maggie will have more torque down low. The positive displacement blower can make close to max boost off an idle and have pretty nice torque curves. The prochargers are very nice also and can make some nasty power.

Like everyone is saying if your going to stop at 500 then go with the maggie. Just decide what you want the car to become (ex street/strip, or strip only) I personally love the sound of a nice procharger.

my buddy has a Kenne bell twin screw on his vette. Made 700rwhp last year with no problems. Ive driven both centrifugal and twin screw cars, the twin screws are just alot more fun!!!!

I'm going Procharger mainly for the support. I mean, there are a ton of people on here with Prochargers. If you have a question, you're going to get an answer.
I was also concerned about spinning off idle with a positive displacement blower, so hopefully the Procharger will not have that issue.
