Default truck manifolds, can you mount them upside down?

Like the title says, I just want to keep A/C, not sure about twin or single yet though.

I think the shock towers are in your way like that. Just move the ac and get new lines made.

Go with the c6 manifold set-up. It allows you to keep the ac in the stock location.

ls2 pass side c6 manifold and drivers side use a pass side truck manifold. then you just have to relocate the alternator.

if you use the bmr turbokmember with it, it makes it easier as well as you have more room for pipes

pretty sure you can reuse the stock LS1 alternator bracket when relocating it to the head. There was a recent truck manifold thread where the thread starter reused it with good results.

well kind of but not really, that guy used a bracket & spacer I made for part of it, then mounted the stock bracket like you are seeing.

still better than spending big bucks for the other one.

I don't get where the "kind of, not really" comes in, if he got the OEM bracket to work and is working still

Looks like he was able to REUSE THE STOCK LS1 ALTERNATOR BRACKET to me in the pics posted in the linked thread.

A few minutes of thinking and fabbing and you can reuse your stock bracket

I'm sure I could whip that up in no time, hell the bracket I have on my car now took me all of two hours to get all the pieces and parts for after we got the alternator in position.

I've also remember seeing kurt from W2W fame reuse the stock alternator bracket mounted up top as well.

I have a set of C6 manifolds that I plan on using for my 5.3 turbo build.. Should I use them both or c6 on the passenger side and the truck manifold on the drivers?

The reason I ask is because I see a lot of HP being made out of the truck manifolds, and i'm wondering... Is there any extra to be gained by using c6 manifolds or would it be minimal and mainly done for clearance issues?

Where do you guys think would be the best spot to mount a t66 with the pass. c6 manifold and drivers truck manifold? Most setups I've seen have them mounted right in front of the motor.

If you relocate your battery to the rear of your car, I've seen people mount them where the battery used to go..

Quick Reply: truck manifolds, can you mount them upside down?
