Default OFI kit at 9 and 12psi

A vid of me and a bud who went to SDR yesterday for t-n-t.

same vid...just standard vs hi definition.....no hd for slow computers

A few more psi and 100-200rpms more on the launch and i can get my 9.3x and call it a day

wow, a supra that actually runs 10's... instead of " it should run 10's"
does that supra have a t400 or something?
both cars are great looking, and run a number.

Daves Supra ran 9.88 earlier in the day. He hasnt gotten the hole staging routine down yet so its still a learning process for him but he is getting better. He has a th-400. We rebuilt that engine and I gotta say a 2jz is a nice piece

absolutely amazing engines. i was a MK3 guy for awhile so i know what those cars are capable of (7mgte has nothing on the 2JZ ). if $50K fell into my lap id get a mk4 in a heart beat.
he is already ahead of 95% of supra owners as far as time, so he's doing just fine. great choice on the t-400 as well, its amazing how they can turn a 11 second 6 speed into solid low 10/ high 9 second beasts.
on a side note, i still like your car better lol pretty much my dream setup

Man you make those 9 sec runs look easy! What was the 60fts on the runs for your car?
What is your raceweight, assume you have full cage in that car.

3905# raceweight
only a 4pt roll bar
60s were 1.45 and 1.44
It actually IS easy now that I got everything working right. Now I gotta up the launch psi....and up the boost and see what it does. Following KPs zillion threads got me to working more on maximizing the stuff I already had and that has paid great dividends. I am keeping to 15-17 degrees of timing so I will have no worries of lifting heads and still make my 9.3x goal easily

DAMN. Your car MOVES OUT for 3900 lbs and only 12 psi.....although I don't know how large that turbo is. I'm only familiar with FI's re-worked BW units, and precision/garrett turbos.

No **** right.

Awesome setup, love to see a heavy weight get down the track like that.

OFI is out of business.
I have a BW s400 with an old style garrett 88mm compressor wheel.
You could do the same thing probably with the s-480 and a race cover and probably spool faster as well.

Awesome passes Jerry! Very nice 60fts. What rpm and boost were you leaving off the brake? Did you ever dyno that thing?

8s are just around the corner!

3200-3300 rpms on tbrake and 2 step gives 4.2-4.9 psi for launch
I dynod it once at 7 and 9 psi...720 and 780 rwhp

iron 408..eagle crank and rods
wiseco pistons
patrickG specd cam....232/236 113+1
etp 225 heads
ls6 intake

wont be any 8s. I am looking for 9.3x and thats it. I even sold my 3 bar map and got a 2bar so I would kinda force myself to stay at 15ish psi or less. I am not a racer..just a test and tuner so I dont need to hit my goal but twice and can then enjoy the car in other modes.

great runs car seems to work great with the 3.08's, ever think about changing out for some 3.50's now that your running th o/d . I've heard its hard to find the right tourqe converter when running such high gear, hows your yank been for you? 60 ft's seem pretty good.

i took the 3.55s out to install the 3.08s
The Yank has worked really well for me and Mightymouse. It will 60' better I am sure if I launch at a higher rpm but this is comfortable for now. Right now the car is a lot of fun.
