Default Mocal oil pump..remote mount

i have been using a Mocal since 2005...its a great pump but i always thought to noisy...i find that if mounted rigid its really noisy and if loosily mounted[zip tied ] its barely heard...anyone agree??

Yeah, but that’s not recommended. If anything, build a little bracket, mount the pump WITH rubber grommets to the bracket then mount the bracket WITH rubber bushings to the car. NO MORE NOISE.

I have one to and its very loud when attached straight to the car, I cut some small pieces of rubber hose to put between the mounting plate and the metal where the bolt goes through the hose and it helps but still a bit loud.

On start up it vibrates the car like a **** once warm it settles and I cant hear it over the exhaust anyway.

Since i Know the Mocal guys are looking, does anyone else have a problem with it cutting of and turning back on .. I noticed mine did it 2 times the other day in about 15 min

How do you have it wired? Do you use a relay from the sts harness?

its a custom kit (see thread in sig) but I did use a relay and sourced the power on wire from my fuel pump. But how do I know if its the right wire back there I used a test light to be sure it was on when the ignition was on.
