Default What spring?

To ultimately run 6-8psi on my car what psi spring should I run in my Tial 38 WG?... I will be running a Hallman pro MBC as well... I was thinking a 5psi or so spring would work since I can dial it up with the MBC... is my thinking right? Thanks...

yes that should work, or you can just put the .5 bar spring in it and it should put your boost just about where you want it.

I've heard running a larger spring and controlling it with the boost controller helps to build boost quicker, I guess by not having anything leak past the wastegate. Anyone know if there is truth to that?

The gate spring is minimum boost at like full throttle .You can get less boost by not going full throttle and watching gauge but its a pain to do that all the time.
You can usually go about double gate max also. So a 7psi base spring will let you go to 14psi or so then you would need to go bigger.
Tial has a website and they list the different color springs on it.
Just find a tial dealer and they should have them in stock.
if your spring is too low value and that means too weak you will have trouble as said going to maybe as high a boost as you want since the spring will let the gate open.

Is that clearer now?

Well I know the springs they offer... I was basically making sure that if I buy the 5.8psi spring I will be able to dial up to 6-8 no problem with my Hallman Pro MBC... I understand I cant go less than the 5.8m as well...

I was curious if anyone had a reason why you shouldnt get a spring lower than the goal psi, but thats obviously what everyone does that uses a MBC to dial up to their final psi...

So I think I will be buying the small red spring for 5.8psi....
