Default 2007 LS6 into Camaro?

What do I need to put an LS6 into my Camaro? Also, what type of boost can the LS6 handle under stock form?

Mine dropped right in. I used the 04 CtS-V oil pan and pick up and it clears perfect. You'll need a tune sooner or later. And about the boost, I don't think it will be able to handle much in it's stock form with 10.5:1 compression. Maybe 6-8, and possibly 10 with meth.

Yah it's a bigger capicity, plus I ordered it with that pan set-up cuz it was cheaper. I tried to swap the f-body oil pan and pickup onto the new motor, but the windage tray was diffrent I believe, or something was different, I can't remember, but the windage tray was cut in half and smashed up from a rod going through my old motor. So it was cheaper to use the CTS-V oil pan and pickup

I think it's a 6.5 quart I believe. I buy seven quarts, fill the filter with half a quart, and the rest goes in the pan.

I take it we were both wrong...I asked at O'Reilly's when I was buying oil to put in when i was dropping my motor in, they told me 6.5...which is right by the service manual, but it's 6.5 including the 1/2 quart in the filter. I don't have any problems with it...

dip stick goes into the block. so it should always read the right amount for the block. so if you have 5.5 quart f-body for 8 quart moroso. it should read right when full

i fill up my oil filter with oil every time i do an oil change, you should do it all the time, especially if you have a turbo car.
