That cam should not be used with your cubes and boost for sure.

What size turbo and how much back pressure. I dont think any one can tell you what cam would be best. Lots of people will tell you 114 or higher Lsa but I have not seen any proof yet.

Big cams with lots of overlap work best with a free flowing exhaust. The exhaust pulses create a scavenging effect that actually helps to draw the air in faster into the cylinders and evacuat on the exhuast stroke. Once you introduce a turbo you are basically inserting a pretty good exhaust restriction (smaller the exh housing the bigger the restriction). With lots of overlap you can end up contaminating the intake charge with spent exhaust gases that are not completely evacuating the cylinder. Now a blower is a different story. Perhaps you should explore that option if you love that cam so much.

That cam will lope all right, here is a Vengeance 240/244//112 cam in an 11:1 348 cid engine:

I think that cam might really hurt your low end, but you'll have to figure that out on your own.

Thumbs down not cool

will... how about you refund me my money?

I hate to have to do this, but Im left with no choice.. I tried emailing the seller, LS1Will but he will not do anything to make this right..The email I sent to him after I got the tires is at the bottom of this post as well as his response and my summary of what happened...

On June 30, 2009, I sent $412 to william wxxx (Email xxx.com).. The payment was for a rear set of tires, the description in his ad said toyo 335/30 18inch R888, excellent condition with 90% tread left

Link to ads on the corvetteforum & Digitalcorvettes
In this ad he said 90% tread left
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...5-30-18-a.html
http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/corv...uct/3589/cat/4

Unfortunately when the tires arrived in the mail on July 10th, I was surprised to find that the tires were not as advertised.. Brand new these tires have 6/32nds of tread.. As per the link below a new Toyo R888 has 6/32nds of tread..

http://www.toyor888.net/racing/toyo/...ctDataPage.pdf

In the below pictures you can see the measurements I took... One tire had approximately 3/32nds the other only 1/32nds....

http://images50.fotki.com/v1528/phot...ires019-vi.jpg

It gets better, there was also a SCREW in one of them!!!!!!

http://images50.fotki.com/v1528/phot...ires003-vi.jpg
http://images51.fotki.com/v1543/phot...ires004-vi.jpg

Clearly these tires are not as advertised.. I emailed the seller asking for my money back... Below is his response.. Yes, I saw pictures but he said there was 90% tread left and there is no way for me to check what he claims unless I use a tread depth gauge like I did when I got the tires... Ive bought and sold dozens of items on the internet and this is the second time Ive had an issue.. The first time, the seller made right by me, I only hope by posting this up here, the seller makes right by this and gives me a full refund..

Thanks,

John

Hi Will,

Got the tires, unfortunately we have two problems that need to be addressed... One of the tires has a screw in it which I don't even know can be repaired, and the tires do not have 90% tread left as advertised.. One tire has 2/32nds of tread the other 3/32nds... new, the tires come with 6/32nds http://www.toyor888.net/racing/toyo/...ctDataPage.pdf So one tire has 33%, the other about 50%.. Neither 90%..

in your email you said the tires had 90% tread left... Theyre well into the wear bar and have half if not less of the tread left...

There is no way I would have taken these tires in this condition.. Its going to cost me about $90 just to mount these things and Ill be lucky if I can get 2,000miles out of them.. and who knows how well they'll put down the power with this little rubber left.. not cool... for an extre $120 I could have bought a brand new pair of kumho race tires... Im sorry but this is not acceptable, I want a full refund.. If you send me a shipping label and Ill be more than happy to ship them back to you.. I do not want to drive 180mph with a patched or plugged tire.

John
