**8/20/09 UPDATED** More Pics ---> Progress pics of my MPT76 Front Mount 01 SS.
Well after waiting to get all my stuff together to start my build I finally started it. After discussing my goals with Rob @ Modular Turbo (guy is pretty awesome, VERY knowledgeable) I went with a Master Power T-76 Q-Trim, 72 A/R Intake, 1.00 A/R Exhaust, JGS 40mm Wastegate, JGS 50mm Blow-Off Valve, Braided oil feed and return lines. My engine combo is a 04 LQ4 (Going to run a stock bottem end for now), Stock 317 Heads with 918 springs, a small cam (.567 115), Chromoly PR's, LS6 Intake, Motortron 60lbs, 255 w/wiring upgrade, BBK Throttle body, Spec 3+ Clutch and so on.
I finished my hot side today (took about 3 hours total) with exception of still needing to weld in O2 Bungs and Wastegate but think it turned on pretty decent considering I am using a 110v Lincoln Welder. All welding was done with regular .035 flux wire (no argon, I know, I know).
Hot side pipes are 2.5" Mild Steel 18 Gauge U-Bends from Jegs and a T4 Flange, stock 6.0 Exhaust Flanges (PM me if you need flanges). After I completely finish the hot side am going to coat them and wrap them.
Here's the progress so far, be easy on me for my welding skills.

nice job! im running about the same set-up. I have a 50mm wastegate though. just finished up the driveabilty part of my tune. putting my 317 heads on in a few weeks. this turbo is great, do your self a favor and go straight to atleast a 2 bar SD. at 7 lbs mine is maxed out (maf). my tuner says that only happens when your at or closing in on 600 hp. with my sts I made 550 whp, the maf was never maxed, so with this bigger turbo at 7 psi I maxed it out.
if you have any questions,or want any help shoot me a pm. I also made my set-up in the garage.

I just know if I was thinking of doing this build I would appreciate all the info I could get. Hopefully this will help one's that are thinking about doing the same thing. I will continue to take pictures and document everything I do.
Will keep everyone posted all the way up to the dyno.

Looks very good. How long have you been welding? Self taught? I'm going to try and tackle a rebuild of my tubro'd Camaro, and would love to weld up everything myself.
