making the switch from procharger to turbo !
i started building this truck around a d1sc a few years ago. i had it running fairly reliably at about 14psi at one time. heres a pic of it in its hayday!
its had numerous problems to keep it away from its true potential. but the biggest problem has always been a slipping belt. the last ime it threw the belt it also popped the oilseal on the blower. thats when i said enough is enough. ii sold the procharger and picked up an 85mm t6 hybrid garrett turbo. i have almost all the parts i need to swap over to turbo. so heres a few pics of the progress i have made so far.......
i will post more pics as i continue on.

made a ton of progress this weekend! fabbed up, wrapped, and sealed the downpipe. it goes from 5" to 4"after about a foot and stays at 4" all the way out. finished up all cold piping. installed a second meth nozzle. finished installing the oil lines, -4 for pressure and -10 for a return. setup the pcv system. hers a couple of pics......
HOPEFULLY if all the rest of my parts show up on time, maybe i will be able to fire this thing up next weekend!

Also looking into a turbo swap but I'm lazy and don't want to work on it so I don't know whats going to happen if anything. I just took it on a road trip to South Carolina and nothing broke even raced it a few times.....so I may just leave it alone

yes, its a 2.5" to a 3" y pipe. tonight i did an oil & filter change, hooked up the last piece of coolant piping, installed the big section of charge piping, and started going back over everything to see if i missed anything! tomorrow i will make the last weld, add coolant, reconnect the intake piping, and wrap and paint the last section of piping. i should be cranking it by friday or saturday at the latest!
