Default New plumbung cold side & A/W. Pics added from Speed Inc.

Has anyone ran a interior mounted I/C with a forward facing manifold? If so I would LOVE to see the pics of the cold side plumbing. Thanks!

Pics added in post 44.

I plan on doing one this winter. Piping will be a little lengthy but I have to run an LS6 in my class.

I have an interior a/w intercooler. We mounted where the hole the the fire wall would be. Not front mounted but you can get the idea.

any pics of the I/C mounting? ease of use? how big are you running?

i'm very interested in how that's working for you. i'd like to use A/W on mine, but wasn't sure if it would work there without losing too much passenger space...

No space loss. Fits under the dash. I don't have any good pictures of the interior with the I/C. I'll attach what I have of the interior and the water tank. In the 1st picture the I/C is on the far right side; the 2nd picture the water tank is nearest and the fuel tank is next to it, with the battery on the far side. The I/C will cool up to 2500hp turbo. The ice tank sets in the hatch area, with water lines running through the interior. The entire fabrication is done by my sponsor EXCESSIVE AUTOSPORTS out of Sioux Falls. He makes all of our I/C, piping, entire lay out of the car.

Unfortunately, times and money has put the project on hold. Not sure that I will make it out this year

I don't see how you can run the LS6 backwards. Seems like it would be a can o worms....what about the sensors? What about the TB cable? How the hel do you fab a pipe from the TB, throgh the firewall when it is so close?

I think I'm just gonna run both cold pipes through the HVAC hole and the "cooled" pipe will just snake around to the TB.

LS7 style heads. Nobody makes a intake. I wasn't thinking ahead, I should have had them put the tb in the rear. Stupid on my part on not thinking it through.

My car is just being finished with the GMPP intake for my LS7 heads and 16 injectors at Speed Inc., but it is forward facing. You could always go with a sheetmetal intake of course.

And, as others have said Duke's car used to have the interior IC with a forward facing throttle body. The IC pipes made a hard 180 turn and went back to the passenger side of the car if I remember correctly.

I notice the spacer above the manifold. Is that purely for fitment purposes, or for other reason ?

Would the spacer and slightly larger volume be of any benefit there ?
