with the aluminum you dont really bore its really a hone used to clean up the cylinder and it usaully one gets you about 1 cubic inch, but the aluminum block especially the LS2 402 can handle 1000hp and its been proven.

Check out Fireball and his threads, he went 7.99 with a stock LS2 block making well north of 1300rwhp.

How much power it handles will depend on the supporting mods done for the block. Iron block tends to hold more power than aluminum due to cylinder bore distortion at the higher power levels. 6 bolt mains will hold way more power than 4 bolt, o-ringed motor will hold more power than non o-ringed, etc.

Its not really an over bore its a hone so making a LS1 into a 383 or a LS2 into a 402 does not require a "bore" so you are not affecting the strength of the block.

So a 383 with out the hone would be a 382 and a 402 would be a 401.

He's got a Magna Charger.....I don't know how far you can take a stock LS2 sleeve but I saw some people were going 4.030 with spray. If he went 4.030 bore and kept his stock crank he'd have a 370ci. Get some forged rods and pistons and it would be pretty nice for a MagnaCharger.

What do you all think? Anything wrong with that?

The alloy blocks are just honed slightly to true up bores maybe .005"

there is not enough meat, to bore them without replacing the liners.

Generally to increase capacity, you need to use a stroker crank.

Since he just has a MagnaCharger...and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they kinda of low power level producing SC'ers?

Like what's the max power it can make on a stock cube engine? 600-650 RWHP???

Then a 383ci?

Then a 402ci?

Isn't it going to do best on a stock cube engine?
