f body guys looking for turbo headers
on my other turbo header thread i got alot of interest from guys looking for f body turbo headers.
So here's the deal,if i can get 3 guys to commit(by commit,i mean put down a $500.00 deposit),i will jig up and build f body turbo headers, they will be the same quality as my other headers.built from 100% 304 stainless steel,1 3/4 tubes with 2 1/2'' collectors and v bands.
they will cost the same $995.00 as the other headers.
if the headers sales go good,i would look into doin complete hotsides and then cold sides. But i'm not going to do any of it if the demand isn't there.
Thanks,
Shawn

whats the advantage of these over truck or c6 manifolds? is it just looks or is it help alot in spooling turbos faster, but it seems like a good idea. go for it what do u got to lose

i am 100% sure you are right about that but I could spend the other $925 somewhere else if the manifolds do just as well. How would one find out if there is going to be an adavantage with these over the manifolds?

I think there would be money in offering complete kits if it can be done on a budget like Josh at KYTP. Alot of kits end up being 7 and 8 thousand. I like how josh offers a base kit at less than 4k which a average guy can save for, and then add the accesories and options like headers instead of manifolds, A2A and A2W upgrades, radiators, and bumper supports.

i think you guys missed my original point-i had alot of guys ask me about this in my other thread-i really have had no intentions of building f body turbo kits because there are already some out there. There seemed like an interest in this,so i figured if there was a demand i would build them.

I think instead of building turbo headers you could just build hotsides from the truck/c5 manifolds that may have more demand to it. Cold sides are also heavily in demand, ive gone through 4 different mock ups and an entire box of piping to get mine reasonable.

turbo headers are so much better than the truck manifolds. when i was looking into a turbo build a while back i came across several threads on here. you get rid of a hell of a lot more back pressure and in some cases gain up to 3psi or more and almost 100rwhp in some of the threads i came across. you can also save money from not buying the expensive turbo k member for those like me that want to keep a/c. so you could deduct 500-600 off the headers if you were to consider buying the turbo k member.

You CAN retain a/c with a manifold set up, just need a C6/Truck manifold combo...if you need a/c
That being said, excellent price shawn....maybe too good

i do not think you should be making a tubular version of the truck manifolds,
if you can make tubular manifolds for a tt set up, sort of like aps but without the garbage turbos with some t3 flanges, i will put down a deposit right now

Mike Browns car is 6.0
Mark Kohler's car is 6.0
both are well in excess of 1750rwhp and 200mph capable cars. That's about all that needs to be said in terms of "do 6.0 manifolds work". hahaha
