looks like my car is going to be on pass time
I'm at work, but my car is at the track with my friend Jon who will be racing it. He's hoping they pick the turbo van for the show too.
I was told they weren't too interested in the car until they noticed the turbo underneath it.

So Jon (1320) ran the car and managed a 10.001 @ 135.28 with a 1.497 60'
The track prep was spectacular for once. Got video of the run but I need to edit it down a bit since you can't hear what is being said between Jon and the contestants.
His burn out got a lot of applause and was probably the best one of the night
Too bad this deal was a one shot and done pass. We set the two step to a point where we were pretty sure it wouldn't blow off the tires and it worked. 3900 rpms which should have had the car leaving on 9-10psi. If we could have gotten a second pass and upped the two step to 4000 it would have left on 10-11psi and finally gotten an 9 sec pass. Oh well, still no nines for my baby.
Got some new rear shocks (stockers have 87k on them now) on the way and I still need to find a short torque arm that's reasonably priced. Don't know how much further I can push the stock tq arm.
Good news is the 10.001 was done on 15psi which normally only gets me 10.2-3 passes at 133mph.
Vid should be posted tomorrow in a new thread.

Congratulations! Keep an eye on the stock torque arm, they start to bend about six inches ahead of the rear. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=58 Link to one we got in that was really bent. Bob

You guys should set me up with another turbo (s475 again) cause when Ken Herring asked about the turbo......I replied " a forced inductions sx 80".....Then I mentioned it was in the back, and Herring was like "Oh, a rear mount....blah blah" A lot of other racers hadnt seen a car like it before being nhra class racers. They had lots of comments back in the lanes....mostly negitive from what I could hear sitting in the car. People kept coming up to the back of the car just before I pulled out to look under it and see the big magical turbo.
It was good to do, but man did it take along time. After that much time, passing time, you really dont want to have anything go wrong. I hadnt even made a pass in the car in about a year. It was great putting up a better number then most of the race cars. Lots of race cars going 10.30's and up.
When the producer guy asked what it ran, I said 10 flat 135.....and 8 hours later I ran 10.001 @135........I guess I can still bracket race.
