Default Front mount intercooler location and bracket

Just bought a used sts kit and will begin to mock it up this week on my 2001 z28. I have two main questions about the intercooler location. I have the intruction manual but it only shows the kit without a FMIC. I know the guy before me had to buy and intercooler kit and pieced it together. I would appreciate some ideas on the routing of the intercooler piping to the tb. Pics, descriptions whatever will help.

Also does anyone have dimensions on how to build a bracket for the intercooler if Im going to mount it between the bumper supports. Or know of anywhere I can purchase one

Thanks.

Kinda similar to tally. I pretty much trimmed it to the point that only the sheetmetal remained at top.

We mount intercoolers in our bumper supports all the time. Look at out site for some pics. It will also free up a lot of eoom in the nose.

Here's how I did mine.
(Not my car, but I did the same cuts, based on a similar thread)

If you cut the bumper frame piece about 1/4 of an inch from the horizontal, you retain some structural integrity of the piece (due to the angle), plus that's about the thickness of the mounting socket thing... Then you drill a hole from the top to match up and bolt it right to the cross piece. That way you don't have to fabricate anything. Also, my mounting holes are about 1.5 inches further back from the front edge. I was worried about it sticking out too far. I got it tucked back in a little more than SweetSS's picture shows. Use a cutoff wheel and it goes pretty fast.

I came up over my battery. (Replaced stock battery with Odyssey - Smaller, lighter)

Pipe comes up and 90's just outside battery, then angles in towards AC silver thing (dryer), then heads parallel to radiator and 90 in front of TB.
