the shield is a good investment, i heard of stories where the flywheel came off and went threw the bell housing and cut the drivers leg

i just bought my rossler 4l80e too! cant wait to try that brake. Carl said the biggest danger is the drum exploding and ripping thru the case and the floor. thats why I got one with the aluminum drum, shield and blanket. not looking forward to squeezing this thing in there. LOL

when they put 23x... does the x stand for 0 or because they dont want to reveal the specs?

So that is tci shield..is it specific for the 4l80 and for sure it fits in our cars?
And also do I just get any trans blanket..generic or also 4l80 specific.Sorry guys not that hardcore racer but figure this stuff is likely a good idea to get. I will be tracking car a few times and even if running at outlaw tracks still good idea to have proper safety stuff.

its not always 0, its from 0-9, but yes, its a place holder to keep the exact specs secret.

Very nice collection there. My collection isnt quite so extensive, but a turbo is on the way

the tci is not 4l80 specific will have to see what might needs to be altered on the trans maybe an ear filed down or cut. amd the trans blanket is a universal fit so there should be no prob with that its adjustable
