Default 3.25 Gears with 4l60e for turbo?

Im sure this has been asked before somewhere but I can't find it.. But im building a 9'" right now. Cars got a LS1 and a 4l60e. Will be running a t78 turbonetics front mount turbo. Would 3.25 gears put me pretty close to what I should have on a boosted app?? Should I go closer to 3.50's? I'll be doing more Highway driving then around town. Also car has Tqv2 cam 114lsa. I'm sure its not the best cam ether but will be using it for now. Thanks guys

Should work great with the first gear on the 4L60.......until the transmission lets go.

So its no good hu? Bad gears for the 4l60e? Plan on getting it built before its ran. Maybe swap to a 4l80?

Well heck. I think if the trans is built should be no problem. I really don't know why not. Give you great highway rpms and load your turbo up. Theres guys with 2.73's. Was hoping I could get some expert feedback

I ran 3.23's with 28" tires for two years. I ran them on the street and at the track. I run a turbo 400 and went lows eights with them.

go after some 273's...ill be running 293's on my T70...but im a FWD with a rear mount....taller turbos need longer gears to use them best IMO....combine with a good stall and youll be good...less shifts=better E/T's!!

Yeah 3.25s will work great with a 26 inch tall tire and a 4l60e will be great too as long as its built nice.

I just would like a lil higher gear to be somewhat good on the Hwy. Heck may even be ok with a th400? Ill go ahead and get it ordered then. I can see where with the lower number gears you would want a strong trans. Well how tall is a 315/35/17? isnt it about 29"? Ill have to go measure

The stock first gear on a TH400 is the least aggressive of the 3-4 speed auto transmission options (glide actually has the laziest first gear). Will work great if you can build enough power on the line. Putting money into a 4L60 is a waste in my opinion. Save it and build a badass th400 that will handle whatever you can throw at it.
