Post best way to go about supercharging

Hi. I recently have gotten into camaros, vettes, and some good american muscle ever since my cousin got a camaro when i was little. His is all motor with all sorts of mods, new heads, cams, ..... the list goes on and on. Talking to him recently about my interest in moding my car (2000 stock z28) he suggested avoiding messing around with the engine internals and just supercharging it. My question is, if i were to put on the supercharger, would the engine be able to handle this stock? Maybe the only other things I would consider adding in addition to the supercharger is cam, rear end/suspension, and exhaust (luckily my cousin has all these ). This brings me to my next question. Whats the best route in your opinion?? Any advice would be appreciated

Another great source of info - make sure you add up all the prices before getting started - going fast is not cheap.

The supercharger itself it a good chunk of change but its all the little things that will really start to add up.

The super charget thought the single most expensive component is the cheapest part. all of the other stuff the fuel up grades etc will be what eats everything up.

Personally I feel turbos are superior to a super charger. but it all depends on what you want. low end crazy torque a roots style blower is awesome, high end HP turbo's can't be beat.
