Default 317 heads on a 5.3

i am doing research on building a 5.3 turbo. i was just wondering what the compression ratio would be on a stock 5.3 w/ 317 heads & how much boost would it hold w/ 118 race gas? thanx for any help!

I know the 5.3s seem to take to boost real well. As for compression i don't know but would like to know. I know the 317s are a 72cc or so head.

I figured it out at 8.6:1 also. I had them on my 5.3L for a few years... they worked great. Make sure you use the 6.0L gasket though.
