Default What size inlets for the intercooler?

I am trying to collect some parts for the twins and I am looking at intercoolers. If I'm building 468 would it be more benificial to go with 2.5in. inlets into the intercooler to the single 3in. out or 2in. in and 3in. out? I was thinking because of the motor being a larger displacement it would more more air to begin with. lookin to make about 800hp at the wheels so 850ish at the crank.

The reason I also ask is i can find the 2in. inlets ones for about $50-60 cheaper.

3 inch in and out . You dont want bottle necks in there.

ideally same size as your turbo outlet, and your intake inlet.

but why a 468 cubed for only 800rwhp?

this is actually in a truck with a vortec 454 so when i put forged internals in it im going to make it a 468. I was thinking 800 at the wheels to make it more reliable and hold together. keeping it spinning under 6K. I also will be using 93 octane for fuel and maybe just a mix of water and meth (washer fluid).

i did 2.75" ins and outs on my custom intercooler.. it works out pretty well for me. but then again im only shooting for a max of 650-700whp, with a constant power dd power goal of 600whp..

Most people dont use pure meth because its too corrosive. Pick up some -40 washer fluid!
